It was a beautiful night for Football!

Beautiful sunset witnessed at Swan Valley game.

As you can see above the weather was gorgeous at friday night’s varsity football game against the Vikings of Swan Valley.  But the results of the night were not as pretty for the Bluejays.  The team moved the ball well on occasion throughout the night, but never could seem to get that extra play that would put them into the end zone loosing 21-0.  The Bluejay Defense had it’s hands full all night.  The Vikings displayed a strong running game and spread out 3 scores throughout the game.  The loss dropped the varsity to 1 and 3.

Earlier in the week the girl’s varsity volleyball dropped their match to the Vandals of Merril in 3 closely contested games.  This week they will stay on the road against Ovid-Elsie on Wednesday night.

The bright spot of the week came from the boy’s cross country team as they finished first at this week’s invitational at Delta College on Saturday morning.  The Bluejay Harriers placed 5 runners in the top 9 spots in the race, leaving no doubt to the spectators as to who won!.  Josh Kyser finished first for the team, followed by Tyler Noble, David Silversmith and Caleb Rhynard.  The girl’s placed 9th out a field of 14 teams.  Teha Ames finished first for the girl’s followed by Jordan McGuire.
